Clearing a path
Herman Volunteer Fire Department members remove a downed tree blocking Heist Road off Route 422 in Summit Township that fell during a storm Monday evening. Fire Chief Rob McLafferty said his crew chain-sawed the tree and tossed the debris along the road in about 20 minutes. They were called by Butler County 911 at 6:41 p.m. and wrapped up the call at 7:10 p.m.
