Joseph Bisceglia
With heavy hearts, the family of Joseph A. Bisceglia of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Cranberry Township, and Centerville, Ohio, announce that he went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2022.
Born May 25, 1930, in Ambridge, Joe was the only child of Louis and Virginia (Cannataro) Bisceglia.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ann R. (Keating) Bisceglia, who passed Nov. 11, 2012. His greatest passion was the love of his family.
Joe was an avid golfer and had two holes-in-one to his credit. He played twice weekly with the “Sleepy Heads” at Indian Hills Golf Club until December 2021, when his illness limited his ability to play. He was also the group’s manager and treasurer for many years.
Joe was a devoted Pittsburgh sports fan. He prided himself on trying to never miss watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play, even if it meant having to visit his local Steelers bar.
Joe retired in 1992, after 37 years with John Hancock Insurance, where he achieved many sales awards. In the years when his sons played Little League Baseball, he managed the Billco Motors Little League team in Cranberry Township, where he touched the lives of many young boys and was successful coaching his teams to multiple championships. As his sons grew out of Little League, he continued coaching until a job promotion moved the family to Dayton, Ohio.
Joe was a lifetime member of the Cranberry Elks.
He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, Joseph L. (Mary Anne) of Elgin, S.C., Robert G. (Maria) of Oakmont, Louis “Bud” (Joyce) of Lower Burrell, Gerard of Finleyville, Joann Trautman of Centerville, Ohio, James (Kim) of Trenton, Ohio, Teresa (Michael) Weatherspoon of Kettering, Ohio, and Frances (Ann’s sister who lived with them from age 13) and Robert Moore of Bethel Park; 20 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family is eternally grateful for the care and support of Watercrest Assisted Living and Treasure Coast Hospice.
