Edward Zeigler Jr.

Edward Zeigler Jr.

Edward Zeigler Jr., 56, of Connoquenessing Township went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 3, 1965, in Butler, he was the son of Edward Zeigler Sr. and Janet Bareis Zeigler.

Ed was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople.

He retired from AK Steel after 34 years of service.

Ed loved being in the garage with his boys, building hot rods and meticulously painting the bodies. He proudly won many competitions over the years for his autobody work. He also loved listening to his daughter sing.

A family man at heart, he made his top priority his wife and children, always catering to their needs. He taught his children the meaning of hard work and diligence, leading by example. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 31 years, Heather Palmer Zeigler, whom he married on Oct. 20, 1990; his children, Travis (Leah) Zeigler, Taryn (Levi) Bartolicius and Walker (Emma) Zeigler; his brothers, Doug (Erin) Palmer and Bill (Lynn) Bennett; his sister, Tammy (Dayne) Stauffer; numerous nieces and nephews; the gang of friends that were always there for him; and his four-legged friend, Bel Air.

Ed was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tom and Jean Palmer.
