Middlesex Township planners approve two items
MIDDLESEX TWP —Members of the planning commission approved two agenda items Tuesday night in its first meeting since May.
The first approval was for a lot line revision for a property along Cruikshank Road near the Welsh Road intersection. The original parcel was a farm. Two other parcels included land on two sides of the farm. The revision would consolidate the farm with additional front acreage for a total of 16.5 acres, and turn the remaining land into a 12-acre parcel.Township engineer Jeff Mikesic had a few comments on the revision. Specifically, he noted the revision expands into property in Penn Township. The plan was also submitted to Penn Township, according to Mikesic.Mikesic asked that a non-conforming structure also be labeled on the plan. The planning commission granted unanimous approval.
A 4-acre parcel along Denny Road near Meadow Lane was brought before the commission for subdivision approval. The subdivision includes taking out an existing pool. The two resulting lots would be 1½ and 2½ acres.Mikesic said among the comments he had on the plan was the need for a shed to be moved back from a property line and for all existing utilities to be labeled. The planning commission determined a water utility being run along Route 8 doesn't reach the property. Still, members asked for that to be verified. The subdivision was unanimously approved.
