Spiegel

LuAnn Spiegel of Greenville, Perry Township, passed way early Thursday morning, March 3, 2022, in the comfort of her home. She was 65.

LuAnn was born in Butler on April 22, 1956, a daughter of Norman R. and Betty (Clark) Ziegler Sr.

In 1975, she married Rodney McCandless, who preceded her in death in 1987. LuAnn subsequently married Richard Spiegel on Dec. 15, 2000, and he survives.

She had been employed and retired from the Betres Group Butler, where she was the office manager and had worked alongside her husband, Rich, in the ownership and daily operations of Spiegel Carpet in Sandy Lake.

She enjoyed reading and traveling, and always enjoyed the times she was able to share with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Rich, she is survived by her children, Timothy (Sherri) McCandless of Slippery Rock, and Lenee McCandless and her partner, Josh Andres, of Sandy Lake; her mother, Betty Bollinger of Butler; her siblings, Richard Ziegler of Butler, Norman E. Ziegler of Greenville, Wayne Ziegler of Butler, Stephen Ziegler of Greenville, Robert Ziegler of Milledgeville, Barbara Ziegler of North Carolina, Thomas Ziegler and his wife, Benita, of North Carolina, and Sam Ziegler and his wife, Tabitha, of Clairton; four grandchildren, Alex McCandless, Tyler McCandless, Nate McCandless and Rowan Andres; and a grandson due to be born in April.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rodney; and her father, Norman.

SPIEGEL — Family and friends of LuAnn Spiegel, who died Thursday, March 3, 2022, may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at ROBERT L. SNYDER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m.
