GROVE CITY — Seneca Valley graduate Scott Hangliter, a junior on the Grove City College golf team, has been named honorable mention All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference.

Hangliter carded a 162 over 36 holes to place 14th in the PAC Fall Championship. Another 18 holes of the championship was to be played this spring, but was canceleed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The PAC named its all-conference team based on last fall’s results.

RED LION — A bid to break the Guinness world record for most people playing catch with a baseball at one time has been postponed.

The event — which would have had roughly 2,000 people playing catch simultaneously in Red Lion — was scheduled for June 30 with a number of Butler County people participating. Red Lion High School coach Kevin Lawrence and the Potter Tour are prime organizers of the event.

The attempt at the record will now take place June 30 of 2021.

“It just wouldn’t be right to potentially put people in harm’s way while we’re trying to do something positive,” Lawrence said. “It’s just better to wait until things are safe.”

The event will also serve as a fundraiser for a nonprofit charity.
