The Knights host West Allegheny in a first-round WPIAL playoff game.
All the cheerleaders will wear buttons with Alexis’ picture on them Friday night. The four Knoch cheerleading squads will cheer in honor of her.
Football coach Mike King said, “We’re going to take a moment to grieve together as a district, then play the game.
“We talked to the team before practice (Wednesday) about carrying on Alex’s spirit, her enthusiasm and love of life. We’re not going to feel sorry for ourselves and mope. Alex would never want that.”
On Wednesday night, the South Butler School Board had a moment of silence and prayed for her before its meeting.
