Naomi Louise Cheeks passed away on Feb. 4, 2022, in Westlake, Ohio, at Brighton Gardens. She was formerly of Butler.

Naomi was born Sept. 21, 1929, in Gettysburg. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Danner Plank and Mary Bishop Plank.

She was married to Wilbur Beasley Cheeks. He preceded her in death in 2013. Together after their retirement, the couple lived in Pearl, Pa., in their log cabin they built together.

Naomi enjoyed all types of craft work and liked doing crossword puzzles. She had a ready smile and was liked by everyone she met.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Wilbur “Cork” Cheeks (Ron Gehrlein) of Cleveland, Ohio, and Karl Dean Cheeks (Sharon Cheeks) of Butler.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and 10 siblings.

CHEEKS — Services were private for Naomi Louise Cheeks, who died Friday, Feb. 4, 2022.

Arrangements were handled by HERITAGE CREMATION AND BURIAL SOCIETY.
