Robert Meade Shearer, 69, of Butler, passed away on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice in Concordia.

He and his twin sister, Cindy, were born in Pittsburgh on May 17, 1952, to their parents, the late William and Cordelia (Healey) Shearer.

Robert spent 1972 serving in the U.S. Air Force.

He enjoyed woodcarving and reading and was an excellent artist.

He is survived by his siblings, Nancy, Art and Jack; his children, Megan, Travis, Riley and Madison; and his grandchildren, Hope, Javier, Lilianna, Braxon and Paisley.

He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Cindy Erkman; and his brother, Bill Shearer.

SHEARER — Family and friends of Robert Meade Shearer, who died Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A blessing service will immediately follow in the funeral home. A reception for family will follow the blessing service. His ashes will be buried in the Veterans Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
