Helping the Community
Riding for the Cure recently presented the Butler Health System Foundation with a check for $40,049.94, and the Richard Laube Cancer Center with a check for $18,000. Over the past 8 years, the group has donated a more than $186,000 to the BHS Foundation, raising more than $281,000 overall to support local cancer patients. Funds go towards the purchase of hair wigs, halos and beanies for cancer patients; helping patient's pay utilities and bills; supporting patient co-pays; and gas and grocery gift cards patients.
