BUTLER TWP — A suspected dealer already behind bars is accused of selling crack cocaine to a police informant on three different occasions last year at his Lyndora home.

District Judge Kevin O'Donnell arraigned 64-year-old James A. Wilson on Tuesday on drug trafficking charges.

Wilson has been in the Butler County Prison since March 9 when he was arrested following a warrant search of his Main Street apartment by the Butler County Drug Task Force.

State police vice officers filed the latest cases Monday against the defendant, accusing him of selling crack to an informant during controlled drug buys March 22 and May 3 and 16, 2018, at his home.

Wilson is charged with three felony counts and three misdemeanor counts of drug possession.

During the warrant search in March, the county's drug task force seized four plastic bag corners containing crack that weighed a combined 3.59 grams, according to charging documents.

Additionally, officers found other suspected drug-packaging materials, a digital scale, six cell phones and $319 in currency, authorities said.

The evidence collected in the search, documents said, was “indicative of crack cocaine sales.”

When officers executed the search warrant, Wilson was at home along with Ja-Raye L. Sloan, 39, of Swissvale, Allegheny County.

Both men are charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Their formal arraignments in Butler County court in that case are scheduled May 14.

Wilson is in the county prison on $100,000 bail. Sloan is free on $50,000 bail.
