Caroline Mahood

Caroline M. Mahood, 91, of Butler, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at her residence.

She was born April 27, 1929, in Mayport, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Raymond E. Milliron and the late Laura Spindler Milliron.

Caroline was a member of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. She was a former member of Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Caroline enjoyed baking pies and cookies.

Caroline is survived by her son, James P. Mahood Jr. of Butler; three daughters, Susan (Robert) Barrone of Pittsburgh, Cynthia (Dean) Collins of Franklin, and Carol M. Israel of Butler; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Patrick Mahood, who passed away on April 10, 1994; and one sister.

Mahood — Friends of Caroline M. Mahood, who died Friday, April 23, 2021, will be received from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, with a funeral service immediately following at 11:30 a.m. at Thompson — Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor Merry H. Meloy of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will take place in the North Side Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001.
