Rose Anna Wise Karenbauer
Rose Anna Wise Karenbauer, 90, of Butler passed away Monday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born March 6, 1926, in Clay Township, the daughter of the late Gideon R. and Anna (McNeish) Allen.
Rose was a member of the Unionville Presbyterian Church.
She retired as a supervisor at the Department of Welfare.
Rose enjoyed bowling, aerobics, quilting, reading and talking.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Fred (Sandra) Fritch of Renfrew, Mrs. Larry (Cathy) Albert of Douglasville, Ga., Terri Watterson of Temple, Ga., and Jacqueline Gold of Butler; eight grandchildren, Jodi (Mitch) Leech, Jill (Tim) Holt, Whitney (Phillip) Lester, Quinn (Jim) Smith, Michael (Lori) Callen, Katie (John) Hutson, Kelsey (Tom) Hardman and Loren Gold; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Cuffman of Butler and Mrs. William (Sarah) Schultz of Butler; two brothers, Dale Allen of Sarasota, Fla., and C. Fred Allen of Slippery Rock; her stepdaughter, Mrs. Thomas (Janet) Becker of Alaska; and her stepson, Brad Karenbauer of Karns City.
She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack L. Wise; her second husband, James J. Karenbauer; two sisters; three brothers; two stepdaughters; and two stepsons.
KARENBAUER — Friends of Rose Anna Wise Karenbauer, who died Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Kail, her pastor, officiating.
