SRU basketball season ended
Rock men bow to California (Pa.) in PSAC tourney opener
CALIFORNIA — Slippery Rock University’s men’s basketball team ended its season Monday night with a 72-55 loss to California (Pa.) in the first round of the PSAC Tournament.
SRU (17-12) finished with its 12th winning season in the last 13 years.
Amante Britt paced The Rock with 14 points, adding five rebounds and three assists. Frankie Hughes had 12 points and and six rebounds. He led the PSAC with 85 3-pointers this season.
Butler graduate Tyler Frederick and Jonathan McFall both tallied eight points and eight rebounds in the loss.
