BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams opened the season with losses at home to Pitt-Titusville Friday night.

The men dropped a 91-87 decision despite 29 points and six assists from Cody West. Hunter French added 18 points, Michael Rummel 16. Tyler Copeland had nine rebounds.

The Pioneer women lost, 58-50, but received 15 points from Jen Barry, 14 points and 11 rebounds from Shelby Johnston, 12 points from Kyleigh Custer and three assists from Cam Horwat.

Both BC3 teams play at Jamestown Community College Wednesday night.
