Ronna Jean (Rettig) Wonderly, 83, of Renfrew, passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2022.

She was born Oct. 11, 1938, in Butler, to Irvine and Marion Rettig.

Ronna is survived by her husband, Calvin R. Wonderly, to whom she was married for 67 years; and by her sister, Dinah Kay Tripp and her husband, Ralph, of Apex, N.C.

She was the devoted mother of four children, the late James Wonderly (Amy), Lauren Wonderly (fiancé Bob), Rachel Flow (Tony) and Kristina Mulig (Scott).

She was the grandmother to seven grandchildren, Thomas Way, Kelsey Mulig (fiancé Michael), Allie Mulig Slater (Jeff), Jamie Wonderly Galliger (Jason), Dana Wonderly, Ron Flow (fiancée Abby) and Scott Mulig (fiancée Molly); and numerous great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

She and her husband spent three decades traveling throughout every state in the U.S., and 27 countries. A pianist, animal lover and avid reader, Ronna was a lifelong Lutheran, whose strong faith in God led her to singing in the adult choir at Bethlehem Lutheran in Shaler Township and Trinity Lutheran in Butler.

She managed Meals on Wheels kitchens on Pittsburgh’s North Side and Brighton Heights areas for 15 years.

WONDERLY — Visitation for Ronna Jean (Rettig) Wonderly, who died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler, where flowers can also be sent.

An 11 a.m. memorial worship service followed by a meal will take place on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Dr., Butler.
