Conley

Wayne W. Conley, 69, of Butler, passed away on Feb. 26, 2022, in the comfort of his home.

He was the beloved husband for 45 years to Barbara Anderson Conley.

He was the loving father of Sean (Emily) Conley, Erin Conley and Kyle (Sarah) Conley; brother of Jeanne McLaughlin, Robert (Deborah) Conley and James (Carol) Conley; and the proud grandfather of Ava, Tiger Lily and Maeve.

Originally from Monroeville, Wayne spent the last 40 years as an active member of the Butler business community, serving as president of both the Butler AM Rotary and the Western Division Pittsburgh Golf Organization. He helped to create and develop the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau. He coached multiple youth sports teams with enthusiasm and humor.

He was an avid golfer, with a passion for the game, although he liked to joke that he couldn’t quit his day job. He and his wife traveled extensively, but his favorite moments were spent with family.

He will be remembered as an amazing father, loving husband, and by his leadership and dedication to his business, Conley Resort. His heart was big and never refused to help the community and his employees. He was always eager to lend an ear, give words of wisdom, or tell a joke.

CONLEY — The family of Wayne W. Conley, who died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, will welcome friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church.
