- More than 20 Western Pennsylvania landscapes are displayed in “Recent Paintings by David P. Ludwick,” the fine arts instructor's exhibit in the Mary Hulton Phillips Gallery. The show continues through Oct. 26.

- Pittsburgh Philharmonic will feature Verdi's “Force of Destiny Overture,” Mussorgsky's “Night on Bald Mountain,” and Rachmaninoff's “Vocalise” for a concert Oct. 28. The Haunted Hertz and Hidden Treasures concert will begin at 2 p.m. in the Succop Theater.

SRU's Symphonic Wind Ensemble, a 50-plus student-musician group, will host its first performance of the season at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Swope Music Hall. Admission is $10 for the general public and $8 for students and families.
GCC is showcasing the talents of regional artists through Saturday in the Gallery of the Pew Fine Arts Center.The exhibition, held annually for more than a quarter century, features a variety of art, including mixed media, painting, drawings, pottery, sculpture and photography.
