WEST MIFFLIN — Authorities say search crews have found the body of a 14-year-old girl who was missing in the Monongahela River near Pittsburgh.
West Mifflin police said the girl's body was found about 1:45 p.m. Saturday a few feet upstream of the Mansfield bridge.
The girl was with relatives fishing in the river and was reported missing at about 6 p.m. Friday, police said. More than 100 search and rescue personnel spent more than four hours looking for her Friday night and resumed the effort on Saturday morning.
CAMARILLO, Calif. — The average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline inched up less than a penny over the past two weeks to $2.25 per gallon.That's 56 cents below the average pump price from a year ago.Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey said Sunday it's the smallest rise in prices seen since late April. She said crude oil prices have remained stable and there's an abundant supply of U.S. gasoline to meet the demand.
HONOLULU — Hawaii prepared for the onslaught of Hurricane Douglas on Sunday, with predictions of high winds, rain and storm surge.“It's definitely going to be a triple threat,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Vanessa Almanza said.Rainfall from the storm can be anywhere from 5 to 15 inches. Oahu, Kauai and Maui were all under a warning.
