Charles Macurdy
Charles “Rusty” Macurdy, 77, of Cabot, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022.
He was born in Butler on Jan. 15, 1945, and was the son of the late Charles and Anna Macurdy.
Charles honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Pullman and Trinity until they each closed. Charles enjoyed working on classic cars, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann Macurdy since their marriage in 1978; father of Michael (Brenda) Macurdy and Patrick (Amanda) Macurdy; brother of Jerry (Nancy) Macurdy, Rich (Karen) Macurdy, Bob Macurdy, Marie (James) Salsgiver and Judy Reed; grandfather of Nikki (Cole) Harvey, Keri Macurdy, Justin Macurdy and Matthew Macurdy; and great-grandfather of Kaia Harvey.
Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Carol McClain.
MACURDY — Funeral services for Charles “Rusty” Macurdy, who died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, will be held privately through the SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
