Historical society offers annual 'Yesteryear' calendar

The Butler County Historical Society is presenting its 11th annual “Butler of Yesteryear” calendar.

“Were You There ...” is loaded with photos and information from Butler’s Sesquicentennial Celebration and Parade in 1950.

See some of the marching bands, floats and parts of Butler’s 150th anniversary as well.

Photos are from “Hopie’s Photography” collection and other collections preserved by the historical society.

The full-sized calendars are available at the Butler County Historical Society office at the Senator Walter Lowrie House, 123 W. Diamond St., and at May’s Music Shoppe and Natili’s North.

Calendars are also available online at butlerhistory.com.

They cost $10.

The Butler County Historical Society is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to collect, preserve, and interpret Butler County’s historical records and artifacts for the educational benefit of the public.

Proceeds benefit the society.
