Patricia Stroup Deal Dobson

Patricia Stroup Deal Dobson, 83, of Karns City, formerly of Eau Claire, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice at Butler following an illness.

Born May 27, 1933, in Concord Township, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Ruth Armstrong Stroup. Patricia was a graduate of Concord High School. She was married June 28, 1949, to the late John L. Deal Sr., who preceded her in death July 8, 1996.

Patricia was Protestant. In her earlier years, Patricia was a former Powder Puff Racecar Driver. She was a life member of the Eau Claire Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Patricia was an avid bingo player and bowling enthusiast. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing. Patricia loved playing cards and was fond of puzzles. Later in life, Patricia married Thomas Dobson, who also preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie (Blaine Jr.) Wilson of Chicora, Beverly (Jim) Kusner of Karns City, Brenda (John) Stepp Sr. of Fort Worth, Texas; three sons, John L. (Sherry) Deal Jr. of Eau Claire, Dean Edward (Cheryl) Deal of Boyers and Don (Pam) Deal of Karns City; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley (Richard) Wilson of Montana and Inez Whitmire of West Virginia; four brothers, Ken (Marie) Stroup, Terry (Bev) Stroup, Dave (Patty) Stroup and Garry (Becky) Stroup; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Deal Sr.; and her second husband, Thomas Dobson.

DOBSON — Family and friends of Patricia Stroup Deal Dobson, who died Wednesday, May 3, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
