Verna C. Yearick
Verna C. Yearick, 81, of Renfrew, formerly of Butler went to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital after a short illness.
Verna was born Sept. 5, 1939, in Bedford. She was the daughter of the late Emory M. Haskin and the late Thelma B. Kniess Haskin.
Verna was a nurse's aide at Sunnyview for over 20 years.
She was a member of the Community Alliance Church, where she was active in the Community Women's Association and the library. She was a former Girl Scout leader and former deacon at Meridian United Presbyterian Church.
Verna enjoyed golfing and painting.
Verna is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Fisher of Florida, Kimberly (David) Wheeler of Minnesota, and Traci Williamson of Butler; one son, Jason Yearick of Butler; three stepdaughters, Wanda Sampson of Florida, Barbara (Ritchie) Packard and Diana (Mike) Walker, both of Butler; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Wanda Marshall of Petrolia, Brenda Tarr of Butler, and Donna Haskin of New Castle; one brother, Jim Haskin of Marienville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Charlie” Yearick, who passed away Sept. 14, 2019; one daughter, Lynette, who died Feb. 4, 2018; six sisters; and five brothers.
YEARICK — The family of Verna C. Yearick, who died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at William F.
