WORTH TWP — State police have identified the driver of a sport utility vehicle seriously injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Route 108.

Zachary D. Ilgen, 21, of Slippery Rock was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. His condition was not known Friday.

Police said Ilgen was traveling west on Route 108 near Ashley Lane just after 5 a.m. when his SUV crossed into the opposing lane, colliding with an eastbound tri-axle truck.

Slippery Rock volunteer firefighters had to rescue Ilgen, who was trapped in his vehicle. His injuries were described as “severe,” according to a police report. He was not wearing a seat belt.
