Kimberly Cardona
On Monday, Feb. 21,2022, the guardian angel of Kimberly Schmitt Cardona escorted her fragile spirit home to be with her everlasting Father in Heaven. Kimberly Schmitt Cardona, 55, of Butler, formerly of the North Side of Pittsburgh, passed peacefully at Butler Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with COVID-19.
She was a beloved daughter of the late Harold and Carol (Kuhn) Schmitt; the cherished mother of Lauren, Megan, Christina (Tina) and Teresa; and the adoring grandmother of Bentley, Owen, Jayce, Colsyn and Carter.
Kim was the sister of Pamela Schmitt, Russel McIntyre (Catherine) and George Zelznak (Tammy) of Pittsburgh; and half-sister of Brenda Schmitt Horniacek of Butler and Kelly Ann Lapp of Florida; and she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Kim loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
With great thought, she loved buying gifts for everyone, especially during Christmas and Easter. She loved attending church with her daughter, Teresa, and knew that she was forever loved by her Lord.
Kim was very humble and appreciated the help she was given over the years. She enjoyed crafting, animals, traveling and loved to draw.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandson, Maveryck.
A special celebration of life and memorial will be in the near future.
