Leroy E. Carson
Leroy E. Carson, 81, of Butler passed away Wednesday at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C.
He was born May 23, 1937, and was a son of the late Virginia (Kemp) and Lewis Carson.
Leroy worked for 40 years for Butler County, where he retired as the supervisor of the bridge department.
Leroy was an avid golfer and Steelers fan. Woodworking and spending time at his Vacationland camp were his favorite pastimes.
He was a founding member of Happy Hunters Sportsman Club, a member of East Butler Fireman's Club and a lifetime member of the Moose.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lucille Neigh Morrow Carson; two children, Phyllis (Mike) May and James (Sherry) Carson; and four stepchildren, Wanda (Tony) Manculich, Ruth Ann (Heinz) Augustine, Marsha (Floyd) Fisher and Angie (Eric) Chepelsky.
Also surviving are three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and 10 step great-grandchildren; and two brothers, David Carson and Douglas (Judy) Carson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Carson, who died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday, March, 18, 2019, at East Butler Presbyterian Church, 900 Randolph Ave., East Butler, with Pastor Mary Kitchen officiating.Interment will be at Worthington Lutheran Cemetery in Worthington.Arrangements were entrusted to Steighner Funeral Home, 111 E.
