CHICORA — Chicora United Methodist Church, 203 Center Drive, will have a craft show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The show includes many handmade crafts. Shopping for Christmas gifts at the show will support local crafters.

Lunch with hot soups and the church's favorite and famous hot sausage will be available.

FREEPORT — To celebrate Christmas, the Freeport Renaissance Association will focus on three noteworthy homes for tours from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 6 and Dec. 7 and from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 8 as part of Freeport's Christmas celebration.The houses vary in style and decoration and each has unusual features. FREEPORT — Imaginative gingerbread creations will compete Dec. 7 at the Freeport United Methodist Church, 211 Fourth St.The entry deadline is 10 a.m. Dec. 7. Cash prizes will be awarded, but there is no entry fee.For more information, call 724-295-2041.

CRANBERRY TWP — The Harvest Home Craft Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at Plains Presbyterian Church, 326 Plains Church Road.It will feature local crafters with handmade gifts, as well as vendors from Scentsy, Pampered Chef, Satara Rustics furniture and Posh by Brianna.A sandwich shop will be open for snacks and lunch, and a Chinese auction will be held.For directions, visit www.plainschurch.com.

Breakfast with Santa will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 7 at the Butler Township Park Building, 468 S. Duffy Road.The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department and Butler Township promise a fun-filled breakfast with crafts, goodies and Santa. The program is designed for toddlers through children age 10.Registration is required. There is a discounted fee for registrations before Nov. 27. Space is limited.

SAXONBURG — The Friends of South Butler Community Library (formerly Saxonburg Library) will host the annual mystery dinner Dec. 7 at the Saxonburg VFW Post across from Knoch High School.Mystery’s Most Wanted will present “Montana Marie Gets Gunned Down at Three.” Appetizers will be at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6:15 p.m.Western dress will add to the fun but is not required. The event includes a 50/50 raffle, quilt raffle and door prizes.Tickets are available at the library, 240 W.
