The role of assistant code enforcement clerk in Butler is going from being a part-time job to a full-time one, and council voted at Thursday's meeting to begin recruitment efforts to fill the position.

Mayor Ben Smith said the person currently in the position could end up coming on board full time.

“We've had one before; we still have one,” he said. “There is just a change to that job, so it has to be filled.”
