Man flown to Pgh. hospital
FAIRVIEW TWP — A man was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital Friday night after falling from a treestand.
The 56-year-old man was in the woods by himself about 100 yards from the nearest road, Petrolia fire chief Chuck Barnes said.
He had a rib injury, but paramedics decided to call for a Stat MedEvac helicopter because they did not know if his lung was punctured.
The 911 call came in around 6:15 p.m. and the helicopter landed at Karns City High School. The Petrolia fire department and ambulance responded.
