Butler Art Center, 344 S. Main St., will host a Wednesday Portrait Group starting Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to noon. Models can sign up and receive a free portrait and join the group as an artist as well. Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., offers a display of Samurai dolls through the summer. The museum's collection includes Asian art and pieces of German Meissen porcelain. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8. Carnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave., presents “CMOA Collects Edward Hopper” through Oct. 26. “Teenie Harris Photographs: Cars” runs through Nov. 16, and “She Who Tells a Story: Women Photographers from Iran and the Arab World” through Sept. 28. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays with extended hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
