Michael Lazzo
Michael J. Lazzo, of Valencia, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, May 22, 2021, after a courageous battle with ALS.
Mike recently worked for Swank Construction as their “tire guy.” He had previously worked at Pennzoil, Fleming Tire, Goodyear, and Mashuda Corporation.
Mike was always working on something. He loved antique cars, camping, NASCAR racing, listening to music, and hanging out with friends and family.
Mike had a wealth of friends who came to visit often. The family wants to thank all of the wonderful family, friends and strangers who helped in any way during Mike’s illness. The outpouring of love, kindness and generosity was overwhelming.
Mike is survived by his wife of 32 years, Amy Fraser Lazzo; their daughter, Michelle (Cory) Druschel; their son, Beau Lazzo; his parents, George and Joanne Lazzo; his brothers, George (Tracy) Lazzo and Tony Lazzo; his sisters, Cheryl (Chuck) Kennedy and Bobbi Jo Schaefnocher; his mother-in-law, Sally Bunnell; his father-in-law, William Fraser, Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lazzo — Friends of Michael J. Lazzo, who died Saturday, May 22, 2021, will be received from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Reformed Church, 320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. James R. Bertoti, officiating.
He will be laid to rest at Glade Run Cemetery in Middlesex Township.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the Westview Sportsman’s Club, 531 Sandy Hill Road, Valencia.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the ALS Foundation, Western PA Chapter, 416 Lincoln Ave., Millvale, PA 15209.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
