Donald “Pete” Allman, 81, of Zelienople, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, while under the care of the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 4, 1939, in Marion Township, he was the son of the late William Allman and Emma Young Allman.

Pete came from a large family. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1964. He was a member of the Zelienople American Legion Post 474. He was a member of the Harmony Lodge 429 F. & A.M. Pete enjoyed hunting and fishing and was known for playing the clarinet in the Resurrection Band. Pete loved his country, his family, and his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.Pete leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Donald Lee Allman of Newport, and James (Jill) Allman of Harmony; his five grandchildren; his siblings, Judy (John) Gerwig, Joanne Nine and Leah “Till” (Norm) Frederick; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Anne Allman, whom he married on Aug. 19, 1961, and who passed away on Nov. 18, 2020; and several siblings, Hilda Harley, Beatrice Yeck, Mary Kirker, Emma Ruckert, Deloris Cunningham, Jim Allmann, Bill Allman Jr. and Betty Jean Allman.Allman — Services for Donald “Pete” Allman, who died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, are private. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pete's honor to the Resurrection Band, 109 Hillside Dr., Harmony, PA 16037.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
