Joseph A. Bajuszik Sr.

Joseph A. Bajuszik Sr., 95, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, passed away Thursday morning at Paramount Senior Living with his family at his side.

Born Jan. 6, 1923, in United, Pa., he was the son of the late George and Anna Lucas Bajuszik.

A state trooper, Joe was a corporal with the Pennsylvania State Police in Butler and on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a life member of Mars VFW Post 7505.

He was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora, the Bakerstown Beagle Club and the Brady-Paul Lodge of the state police.

Joe was a loving father and leaves behind his children, Joseph Jr. (Pattie) Bajuszik of Clinton Township, Joyce (Louis) Bisceglia of Lower Burrell, Jill Schulz of Portersville, and James (Allison) of Penn Township.

He was the very proud grandfather of nine grandchildren, Julia (Kevin) Doyle of Ebensburg, Andrew (Nicole) Bajuszik of Saxonburg, Brady (Jenna) Bajuszik of Valencia, Matthew Bisceglia of Lower Burrell, Nicholas Bisceglia of Lower Burrell, Bryan (Alisha) Schulz of Sharpsburg, Scott (Caitlin) Schulz of Midlothian, Va., and Jason Bajuszik and Adam Bajuszik of Penn Township.

He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dolores Meininger (Jim) of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Lib” Kozusko Bajuszik, whom he married on May 5, 1951, and who died on June 2, 2018; his daughter, Janice Bajuszik, who passed away on May 16, 1976; a son-in-law, Mark Schulz, who passed away on March 13, 2014; a sister, Elizabeth Bayuzick; and two brothers, Andrew “Buster” Bajuszik and Edward Bayuszik.

BAJUSZIK — Friends of Joseph A. Bajuszik Sr., who died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Parastas service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Divine liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora, with the Rev. Radko Blichar as celebrant.Burial will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Joseph and Elizabeth Bajuszik Scholarship at the BC3 Education Foundation, Inc., P.O.
