Carole A. Kennedy
Carole A. Kennedy, 76, of Mars passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday.
Born Dec. 19, 1941, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and the late Mary Gray Hackney; and the stepdaughter of the late E. Patricia Hackney.
She was a 1959 graduate of Pine Richland High School and a 1963 graduate of Indiana State Teachers College (IUP). She was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority.
She retired from the Mars School District as an elementary school teacher in 2003.
She was a member of Glade Run Church in Valencia.
Surviving are her daughters, Susan (Duke) Loring of Butler, Diane Harris of Valencia, and Robyn (Butch) Lambert of Valencia; her grandchildren, Alyssa and Austin Loring, and Madison Lambert; her sister, Sally Bunnell of Valencia; her sister-in-law, Marge Kennedy of Mars; her brother-in-law, Lee (Lorraine) Steffler of Fombell; and her stepbrother, Paul (Marge) Jackson of Irwin.
She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many very special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Robert “Clutch” Kennedy, whom she married on Nov. 21, 1964, and who died Feb. 7, 2007.
KENNEDY — Friends of Carole A. Kennedy, who died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, with Rodney Smith officiating.
