County courthouse reopens after alleged assault
The Butler County Courthouse reopened about 10:15 a.m. after sheriff’s deputies swept all floors looking for a man who allegedly assaulted a woman outside Courtroom 1 this morning.
A court source said the alleged assault occurred about 9:45 a.m. after a child custody hearing in Courtroom 1.
Sheriff Mike Slupe said courthouse video shows the suspect leaving the main doors in the county government center.
Authorities identified the suspect as Randy Lee Martin, 39, whose records show multiple home addresses in the county.
County detectives are waiting to talk with the victim, who was being treated at Butler Memorial Hospital.
