Driver who crashed into pole ID'd
Police have identified the woman who drove her vehicle into a utility pole Tuesday at the intersection of Route 68 and Oakdale Road, near Butler First Church of the Nazarene.
Nicole Wright, 26, of Saxonburg went off the right side of the road in her Honda HRV and struck the pole, according to a Butler Township Police news release.
Wright suffered a moderate head injury, police reported. Butler Ambulance Service transported her to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police are still investigating the crash.
The crash knocked power wires down across Route 68. The road was closed from N. Eberhart Road to S. Benbrook Road for more than an hour. The crash occurred at 5:04 p.m.
Butler Township Fire District 3 aided police at the scene.
