Donald Keith Stevenson

Donald Keith Stevenson, 88, of Butler passed away Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

He was born April 20, 1930, in Butler, and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John G. Stevenson.

Mr. Stevenson worked as a crane operator at ARMCO Steel for 44 years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He enjoyed woodworking in his garage, vacationing with his family, helping others, and meeting friends at the Burger Hut for his daily “thincake.” “Pap/Pappy” loved his family and his little dog, Ginger.

He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Lynn Sgro of Butler, and Beverly Stevenson and her longtime companion, Dennis Felitsky, of Bruin; one son, Richard K. Stevenson and his wife, Lucy, of Florida; five grandchildren, Michelle M. Ulanowicz and her husband, Sean, Kimberly J. Morgan and her husband, Neil, Kristy A. Delancey and her husband, Richard, Olivia L. Stevenson and Benjamin K. Stevenson; five great-grandchildren, Trisha Marie Corbett, Tyler Joseph Ulanowicz, Casey Elizabeth Ulanowicz, Crystal Rose Morgan and Dylan Martin Delancey; and one great-great-grandchild, Liliana Rose Morgan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. Stevenson, whom he married on Aug. 5, 1950, and who passed away on April 9, 2014; and also by his seven siblings, Charles Stevenson, Earl Stevenson, Ralph Stevenson, Helen Fleming, Ann Eddy, Lucille Nail and Mildred Stevenson.
