Wayne C. Park
Wayne C. Park, 92, of Middlesex Township passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, Jan. 12, 2021, at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Aug. 18, 1928, in Valencia, he was the son of the late William D. and Maude E. Martin Park.
He grew up on the family farm with his five siblings, and discovered that his future was in the family farm.
Wayne graduated from Mars High School in 1946.
He worked for the family dairy, Valley View Dairy, for 35 years. He then found a second career driving a charter tour bus all over the country for Butler Motor Transit for 18 more years.
Retiring at the age of 70, he realized he had more to offer, so he worked another 10 years with other retirees at the Butler Auto Auction, until the age of 80.
He was a lifelong member of Valencia United Presbyterian Church, and the Valencia Volunteer Fire Co. He was a member and past president of the Rich-Mar Rotary, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow. Wayne had been a member of the Valencia Historical Society, and a board member of the Farm Credit Bureau. For many years he was the superintendent of the West Union Cemetery Association.
He spent his retirement years enjoying his family and helping others.
Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Roma Davis Park; his daughters, Karen Davidson (Dave) of Mars, and Sheryl Toomey (Brian) of Middlesex Township; his sons, Roger Park (Susan) and Randy Park (Dara), both of Middlesex Township.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his sister, Marge Adams; and his brother, Jim Park.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Danner; and two brothers, Bob and Dean Park.
