Donald “Ritch” Richard Thompson
Donald “Ritch” Richard Thompson, 58, of Butler, passed away Jan. 3.
Born Feb. 19, 1958, in Lake Charles, La., he was the son of the late Richard R. Thompson and Bethalene Parkins Thompson.
Donald graduated in 1976 from Barboursville High School. He was a graduate of Butler County Community College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired employee of the Veterans Administration Regional Hospital.
Donald enjoyed riding his Harley, playing his guitar, listening to various genres of music, loving animals and, most of all, loving and being with his family.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Karen Boyce Thompson; his son, Corey Thompson, of Erie; his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Ian Gamble, of Butler; his grandchildren, Macey, Cohen and Lincoln Gamble; and his sister and brother-in-law, Sonya and Chuck Hennecke, of Cattlettsburg, Ky.
THOMPSON — Visitation for Donald “Ritch” Richard Thompson, who died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, W.Va. A memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
There will be a private family burial Tuesday at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
