The man said he was traveling west when he swerved to avoid someone who had pulled out in front of him when he overturned his truck just east of Eagle Mill Road.

FRANKLIN TWP — A driver escaped unharmed after he overturned his truck around 10 p.m. Wednesday along Route 422, just east of Eagle Mill Road.

The man said he was traveling west when he swerved to avoid someone who had pulled out in front of him, according to Butler Township Police.

The maneuver sent the truck crashing onto its side and into a resident's front yard, which did damaged a natural gas line, police said.

Police said the line was shut off and did not pose a threat to anyone at the scene.

The accident slowed traffic for about an hour. Prospect Volunteer Fire Department and Butler Ambulance Service responded to the call.
