LANCASTER TWP — Volunteer firefighters ensured a chimney fire did not spread to the rest of a Crab Run Road home Monday night by cleaning the stack.

After responding to the 5:56 p.m. 911 call to 251 Crab Run Road, crews cleared the scene at 7:02 p.m.

Assisting the Harmony Fire District were the Evans City, Connoquenessing, Adams area and Cranberry volunteer fire departments.

Harmony responded to another call Monday morning in Jackson Township.

Responding to a 10:06 a.m. 911 call, firefighters checked out an electrical smell in the basement of 120 Timberview Trail.

The Callery, Cranberry and Evans City volunteer fire departments assisted Harmony.

Crews cleared the scene at 11:16 a.m.
