Jack L. Ralston

Jack L. Ralston, 86, of Emlenton passed away Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Jack was born Sept. 16, 1932, in Bullion, Venango County. He was the son of the late Merle and Mary Farren Ralston.

Jack received his education from Bullion School.

He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was discharged in 1952, having served in the Korean conflict with the rank of sergeant.

Jack retired from Boyers Underground Mines, Iron Mountain, as a security guard.

Jack was an avid hunter. He enjoyed all the seasons Pennsylvania had to offer; deer, turkey and bear. He had been blessed with numerous successful hunts throughout his life. Jack and his close friends took hunting trips to Canada for moose and out West for elk. He cherished his time in the woods.

Jack had extensive knowledge of firearms. He made numerous rifles and enjoyed working on others.

Jack is survived by his sisters, Ginger Zarnick, Sara Zarnick, Joann Forebach and Vera Hamil; his grandson, Steve Ralston and his wife, Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenny Ralston; and a sister, Jean Ralston.

RALSTON — A memorial service for Jack L. Ralston, who died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, will be held at the convenience of the family.Arrangements were handled by Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, Clintonville.Friends can email condolences by visiting www.mckinleyfuneralhome.net.
