So long ago, but it seems like yesterday we were told you would not make it through the night.

You fought so hard to stay.

But God watched as you suffered,

And knew you had your share.

He closed your weary eyes,

And He took you in His care.

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you did not go alone,

A part of us went with you

The night God took you home.

God has you in His keeping,

We have you in our hearts.
