SRU men's soccer wins PSAC crown
ERIE — Slippery Rock University forward Peter Boylan benefitted from being in the perfect spot Sunday afternoon in Erie.
A failed Millersville clearance landed at his feet and Boylan took advantage. Boylan scored in the 65th minute, giving The Rock men's soccer team a 2-1 victory in the PSAC Championship game. It was the second conference title for SRU in three seasons.
Boylan was named the game's most valuable player, while Ryan Lutke also scored for The Rock (14-6).
Millersville scored its only goal 74 seconds into the game on a shot by Tanner Brenize.
Cross CountrySRU sophomore Jeremy Parsons finished the course at Lock Haven University in 30 minutes, 46.4 seconds to finish in sixth place at the Atlantic Regional Championships.Parsons qualified for the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championships in Joplin, Mo., for his effort.The Rock men placed fourth, the women fifth.

Thorn Field.The Wolverines (0-9, 0-7) couldn't slow down the Titans, who raced to a 38-0 halftime lead.Domonique McKinley led Westminster with 101 rushing yards on 21 carries. Maskrey led GC with 44 yards on 14 carries.
