VOICe names Hestia recipient
Victim Outreach Intervention Center, VOICe, recently selected Diane Dancik as the 2015 recipient of the Hestia Award.
According to VOICe, Dancik exemplifies courage, strength and determination. A two-time cancer survivor, she fights daily for women in need, globally and locally. Dancik established the project A Place to Lay My Head.
This year’s finalists were:
Sandra Mullins, a volunteer who retired from North Pittsburgh Telephone
Linda Andreassi, director of communications for Seneca Valley School District
Millie Pinkerton, former vice president of Pinkerton GoodYear and trustee of the Butler County Family YMCA
Barbara Brandon, retired and chairman of the Distinguished Young Women of Butler County Scholarship Program.
The keynote speaker for the award event was Brenda Shaffer, who received the 2014 Hestia Award.
