CRANBERRY TWP — Haine Middle School was able to help five organizations through the funds it raised during its 2nd annual HMS Red Ribbon Walk-a-Thon on Oct. 30.
The event raised $1,713 and the funds were split evenly among the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Department, Cranberry Emergency Medical Services, the Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group, the Butler County Humane Society and the Super Heroes Foundation.
School officials invited those organizations to the school in late November to show their appreciation for community “Super Heroes” and presented each group with their donation.
The school is in the Seneca Valley School District.
