Knapp 1 stroke off lead at Pa. Senior Amateur
UPPER ST. CLAIR — Oakmont Country Club member and five-time Butler Eagle County Amateur champion Sean Knapp is one stroke behind after the first round of the 58th annual Pennsylvania Seniors Amateur Golf Championship held Monday at St. Clair Country Club.
Knapp carded a one-over-par 73 and is in a four-way tie for second place. Ed Podufal of The Kahkwa Club leads the event at even par.
Stan Namola of Connoquenessing Country Club is at plus-5 while Ira Handler of Butler Country Club is at plus-9 after the first round.
In the Super Senior (65-over) division, George Bilowick of Butler Country Club is at plus-7, eight strokes off the lead. Dan Reid of Cranberry Highlands is at plus-8.
The tournament will hold its second round Tuesday.
