Cheryl A. (McCullough) Smock

Cheryl A. (McCullough) Smock, 63, of Cabot, passed away peacefully on Friday surrounded by her family at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 24, 1955, in Natrona Heights to the late Raymond and Loretta (Leoni) McCullough.

Cheryl was a 1973 graduate of Highlands High School.

She worked at McCullough's Florist, which was a family-owned business, Moonlight Mushroom Mine and Sylvan Research Lab.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, her passions were her granddaughters, her faith, cooking, painting, reading, fishing, making wine, beekeeping, vacationing at the beach and taking care of her dogs, Bella and Copper.

Cheryl had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed help. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.

Cheryl was happily married to Gerald Smock, who was her partner in life for 43 years.

Cheryl is also survived by her two sons, Jason (Melissa) Smock and Michael Smock; her granddaughters, McKenna and Michaela; her brothers, Terry McCullough, J. Christopher McCullough and Rick McCullough; her sisters, Cindy (Dan) Smith, Lynne (Kenneth) Baughman and Beth Ann Townsend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joel and by her nephew, Shawn.

SMOCK — Friends of Cheryl A. (McCullough) Smock, who died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights.A blessing service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Mary, Mother of God Church, Freeport, with the Rev.
