Rock nets 2-0 soccer victory
Nick Sodini and Justin Minda both scored to lead Slippery Rock University's men's soccer team to its first victory of the season, a 2-0 decision at Shippensburg on Saturday.
Rock goalkeepers Jonathan Sharp and Steven Rerick both stopped one shot in the shutout.
SRU (1-2, 1-0) plays at California (Pa.) on Tuesday.

The Wolverines (0-2) scored both of their touchdowns in the first quarter. Quarterback Brett Laffoon found Nick Ponikvar for a 21-yard touchdown. Later, Wesley Schools scored on a 1-yard touchdown run, but GCC still trailed 30-13 at the end of the first period.
