GC Medical Center lauds volunteers
GROVE CITY — The Grove City Medical Center celebrated its volunteers April 14 with an event that included a $10,000 donation to the hospital from its volunteer organization.
The donation came from the proceeds of sales at the hospital coffee shop, as well as other medical center volunteer fundraising efforts during the past year.
Forty-three volunteers received gifts for contributing more than 100 hours of service to the hospital over the past year, and hospital CEO Robert Jackson thanked them for their efforts.
“When patients tell us about their hospital stay, they don’t remark about the amazing MRI technology,” he said. “They tell us how much they appreciate the personal touch with which we provide care, and much of that is attributed to the help of our volunteers.”
